Spotify is bringing its video podcasts to Netflix next year under a new global partnership aimed at expanding the platform’s video reach and ad business. Starting in early 2026, Netflix users in the United States will be able to stream select Spotify video podcasts marking the first major crossover between a music-streaming and video-streaming giant.
According to the announcement made on Tuesday, Spotify will feature a curated selection of shows covering sports, culture, lifestyle, and true crime from Spotify Studios and The Ringer.
The company confirmed that more genres and studios will be added to the lineup over time.
Initially, the rollout will target U.S. audiences, followed by expansion to international markets later in 2026.

It is worth noting that Spotify has been gradually shifting its focus toward video-based content in recent years, in an effort to compete with platforms like YouTube. The company introduced video upload tools for creators, enabling them to publish visual versions of their podcasts while earning from ads, polls, and audience engagement features.
The shift follows Spotify’s 2023 restructuring of its podcast division after heavy investments in exclusive studios like Parcast, The Ringer, and Gimlet Media.

This partnership signals a new strategy focused on monetization and deeper engagement, especially among Gen Z audiences who increasingly prefer video content.
As of Q2 2025, Spotify hosts over 430,000 video podcasts, with viewership growing 20 times faster than audio-only formats. Over 350 million users have streamed video podcasts, representing a 65% year-over-year growth.
Roman Wasenmüller, Spotify’s Vice President and Head of Podcasts, said, “This partnership marks a new chapter for podcasting. Together with Netflix, we’re expanding discovery, helping creators reach new audiences, and giving fans around the world more access to the stories they love.”
Spotify confirmed several hit shows will be part of the initial rollout, including The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Rewatchables, The Ringer NBA Show, The Ringer NFL Show, The Mismatch, Fairway Rollin’, The Ringer F1 Show, The Big Picture, The Recipe Club, The Dave Chang Show, Dissect, Conspiracy Theories, and Serial Killers.
Spotify declined to share financial details of its agreement with Netflix but remains confident that the move will drive stronger advertising growth through video engagement.
The collaboration also gives Netflix access to new types of content, signaling a potential shift in how podcasts are distributed and discovered.
