New Petroleum Rates (Dec 16, 2025)
The notification confirms that High Speed Diesel (HSD) will now be sold at Rs. 265.65 per liter, down from the previous rate of Rs. 279.65. This reduction is expected to provide relief to the transport and agriculture sectors. Below is the complete breakdown of the revised prices:
| Products | Existing Prices (w.e.f 01.12.2025) | New Prices (w.e.f 16.12.2025) | Increase/Decrease |
| High Speed Diesel (HSD) | Rs. 279.65 | Rs. 265.65 | -14.00 |

These adjustments are part of the government’s fortnightly review mechanism, which aligns local prices with international oil market fluctuations. The Finance Division and Ministry of Energy have issued the official notification to ensure transparency and prevent overcharging at fuel stations. Consumers are advised to pay only the notified ex-depot prices listed above.
This pricing structure is effective immediately starting December 16, 2025, and will remain valid until the next review cycle.
